The public is invited to a food- and fun-filled celebration of Earth Day hosted by the SEAT Center. SEAT’s Schenectady students who have been trained in asthma intervention strategies will provide the public with information on asthma remediation while providing an air filter exchange. SEAT students will also distribute air filters door-to-door in the neighborhood.
Other activities include balloons, YouthBuild and Train Up! recruiting tables, a sign-up for those eligible for additional asthma remediation services, solar sign-up information, and on-site recycling and composting sites where visitors can learn techniques to recycle and compost at home. SEAT students will also conduct a parkwide trash clean-up and will sort food waste with Union College students.
